BULL RIVER, MT   The Vital Ground Foundation, out of Missoula, Montana, strengthened protection of an important habitat connection area for grizzly bears, wolverine, and lynx near the confluence of the Bull and Clark Fork rivers in western Montana. Keep It Connected has secured $250,000 for projects in this location from the Liz Claiborne and Art Ortenberg Foundation. Read more…

EAST KOOTENAY, BC The Nature Conservancy of Canada recently worked with a landowner to conserve 319 acres along the shores of Larsen Lake. It contributes to both north-south and cross-valley connectivity between the Rocky and Purcell mountains for bears and big game, and contains important habitat for the endangered American badger. Keep It Connected secured $50,000 through Patagonia’s Holdfast Fund to help close the project. Read more…
